idolatrystudios@gmail.com BioI started my photographic life while living in California, with a small 2 megapixel canon taking pictures of my friends and our adventures. I seriously took my camera EVERYWHERE we went. I'm sure it was a bit annoying in some instances but I never let that stop me, I loved shooting too much to stop. Little by little, I noticed that more and more people starting taking me seriously when I came around with my little camera. It was almost as if they were waiting for my next hillarious snapshot because all I did was capture funny situations. It was great!
When I moved to Denver to be with my wife, we invested in an SLR camera made by Konica Minolta, (Maxxum 5D) and again took more "pictures". However, I got to the point where I started getting really upset with my "pictures" because in my mind, my ambition far exceeded my talent....and I knew it. I had to improve. I wanted to create "photos" and get out of the "pictures" zone.
But to do that, I had to study!
I began relentlessly studying photographic theory and history. Since going to photography school wasn't an option for me, (Lack of time and money) I began observing and learning at an almost geometric rate. I had never been more determined to do anything like I was/am photography in my entire life. And now, all these years later, here I am and here you are on my LJ.
