The seventeenth N.E.O. photo features Lada. (Etaru)



OK, I have to be VERY clear about this. This is NOT my photo.
This photograph was shot and belongs exclusively to Vincent E.
Milum Jr. of Darkain.com. The woman in the shot is his
significant other, and very lovely Lada. Needless to say,
this photo reeks of "WIN"!

Now the editing portion of the shot was done by yours truly.
(Well most of it anyway)

Why am I posting this? LOOK AT THE SHOT! Need I say more?

This photo was taken on an apparently chilly day according to
Vince. It's odd because I don't see anything in this shot
that would point to anything but "HOT"! LOL

Give or take a few "alterations", the photo is exactly as Vince
shot it. Excellent lighting and composition I must say. The model
well....um....LOOK AT THE SHOT! She speaks for herself.

One last thing I'd like to add about the shot is that it's fitting
for me personally, in name and overall feel. I'm unfortunately not
going to be able to attend this year's Anime Expo in L.A. California
and I'm really bummed about it. But, this photo does very much to
whisk me away to my beloved beach environment from the comfort of my
own home, and I have Vincent and Lada to thank for that. So basically,
I owe them a lots of drinks when they come up to Denver in
September.

What can I say about this? I had a blast during this shoot.

Ok so the Denver Costume and Cosplay Society (DCCS) and I have been planning to
do a photoshoot since the last time we worked together. (Code Geass shoot) We
finally had a chance to do it today. It was awesome! The costumes were awesome!
The people in those costumes are SUPER awesome and because of all that....the
photos came out awesome. The super hot sun was the only thing that was less-than-
awesome, but we all sucked it up and moved forward.

I can't wait to post these up. Of course, there are a few shoots that have to be
published before I can get to today's photos, but you get the idea.

SUPER colorful pics are purdy!

Alright, so what words will I use to describe what I'm feeling here?

Normally I like to assign singular photos that that speak to me into N.E.O.
photos, but this one says something entirely different to me. For the last
year and a half I've striven to create an image that would speak to me in
a way that no words can describe, and I think I may have just hit a personal
milestone? One that I'm ACTUALLY willing to grant to myself because I'm
usually so hard on my work.

I swear I love this photo but more than anything, it's the idea that I'm
most excited about.

I know it doesn't make any sense whatsoever and it more than likely never will
to anyone but me. (I'm cryptic by nature, I can't help it.) Regardless of this
fact, I'm finding myself very very happy with the results of this recent shoot
with Jeri. I swear, every time I shoot with this woman I end up with something
I adore. The last time I shot with her, a photo of her's ended up being one of
my "4 corners" photos. (Photos on my wall) I was hoping to repeat the same kind
of situation with her this time, but I didn't.......instead, I ended up with
something in a completely different league, at least in my opinion.

So needless to say that I'm very glad that I had the opportunity to shoot
with Jeri again, and have Khamryn add his creative/makeup magic. I love
having so many creative people in my life. It's like poetry to me when it
all comes together well.

Now, let me say one last thing. I had two thoughts pop into my head when I saw
this photo on my camera's LCD:

1) HOLY MOTH#&#!(*%&# CRAP!!

2) "What I wouldn't give to have Joellen Elam or Lada B. here right this second." (Hint hint)


Ok enough of me talking

So this has been a long time coming.

Welcome everyone to our third installment of Epicstage.

These are photos that were taken at SakuraCon 2009 in
Seattle Washington.

This post is a very special one indeed because it marks
the re-institution of two things. First, it's Acire's long
awaited return to costuming after much time away, and second,
it marks the re-establishment of professional ties with our
long time post production artist and Co-founder of Idolatry
Studios Laura Phillips. (Miyu)

Needless to say that we're all very excited to be working
together again!

The shoot started off like a paparazzi fest. I made previous
arrangements with Acire to meet her at her hotel, while dawning
her gorgeous costume, in order to make sure she arrived at the
shoot location safely. It was a huge costume that was very hard
to maneuver in. It was a good thing I went because as we made our
way down the half block to the shoot, crowds literally swarmed
her for a photo-op. Traffic completely came to a standstill as
passers-by would try and snap cell phone pictures from their
cars....it was insane.

But enough talk.

Idolatry Studios, in conjunction with Epicstage is very proud
